I love fall ya’ll but I don’t really dig all the scary stuff that comes along with October. So, here’s a list of things to do in Cincinnati this fall that aren’t scary. You’re welcome!
1. BLINK
Sometimes I seriously can’t believe we here in Cincinnati get to experience BLINK all to ourselves! If you didn’t get the chance to go last time, trust me, you do not want to miss it! Blink is an interactive light-show exhibit displayed all throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. IT’S ALSO FREE!
2. Coffee Festival
Coffee lovers unite! The Coffee Festival is hands down my favorite event during Fall in Cincinnati. Sample from many of our local and not-so-local coffee shops. Also make sure to catch the latte throw-down! If you love tea more than coffee don’t be discouraged! They sample tea too! Hopefully I’ll see you there :)
3. Sunflower Festival
Do you want to be surrounded by pure beauty? Then check out Gorman Farms Sunflower Festival and don’t forget to snap a pic… or it didn’t happen! You can also take one of these beauties home with you for just $1!
4. Classic Fall Films
Hit up Washington Park for their Movies in the Park series. Who doesn’t like a cool crisp night, snuggled up with a blanket, watching some Halloween classics while drinking some brews (see what I did there) with some friends!
Not really digging the outside movie vibe? Well you’re in luck! Envisions in Kenwood is having a Flashback Movie Night with some classic Halloween films and you get to order a full meal while you sit back and watch! This is definitely an experience you will want to try. Who knew you could have s’mores at the movies??
5. Fall Food Fest
If you’re like me then food is the way to your heart (well, after coffee that is!) You really can’t go wrong by sampling all the many foods Findlay Market has to offer.
6.Renaissance Festival
Just a short drive outside of Cincinnati but a big leap straight into the past. The Ren Fair (which is what us cool kids call it) instantly transports you into a medieval era where you can sit back and watch a jousting match while enjoying a giant turkey leg. Or take a walk through the square and browse the shoppes. Don’t forget to dress the part, that’s half the fun!
7. Apple Orchard
Trying your hand at making an apple pie? Or maybe you just want to experience apple picking? Check out some of the Apple Orchards in our city. I recommend A&M Orchard Farm it was picture perfect (obviously) and grab a jug of their homemade cider on your way out, trust me, you won’t regret it!
8. City Flea
If your summer has been jam-packed and you haven’t been able to stop by the City Flea in Washington Park, have no fear, you still have time! The City Flea has some of the coolest vendors from vintage clothes, plants, macrame, and antiques, to handmade soap. There really is something for everyone! Hopefully October brings us some cool weather, so step outside enjoy the fresh air and support your local vendors!
9. Wizard Pub Crawl
For all those HP fans out there, and I know there’s a lot (me included) check out the Wizard Pub Crawl in downtown Cincinnati - you even get your own wand! Butterbeer and magic… can’t get more festive than that!
10. Pumpkin Patch
I mean is it really truly Fall if you haven’t picked a pumpkin? Check out all the Pumpkin Patches in the Cincinnati area. Be sure to wear a cute outfit, you can’t pick a pumpkin unless you wear a cute outfit. I recommend Shaw Farms, they also have a corn maze!
